Cat Project

The Bult Dierekliniek is invested in the “Cat Project” currently underway in Potchefstroom. By taking hands with the community we spay and neuter feral cat colonies in and around town.

We do an average of 300 cats per annum.

How does the process work?

A business/community/feeder decides to sterilize their cat colony. The Bult Dierekliniek will call in the help of a registered Animal Handler who will contact the business or feeder. Cats are caught according to the International TSR (Trap, Sterilize, Release) principle. Sterilization is done at a special tariff, that the business or feeder pays. All sterilization of feral cats include a rabies shot. All sterilized feral cats are marked by the international standard of marking a sterilized feral cat, by cutting off the tip of the right ear.
